The INTREPID Alliance has launched the Registry of Antiviral Compound Libraries, a new open-access resource forming part of its broader Antiviral Toolbox. The registry brings together publicly disclosed compound libraries from academia, industry and commercial vendors, providing researchers with a curated starting point for identifying chemical candidates in antiviral drug discovery.
The initiative aims to address critical gaps in the antiviral pipeline and contribute to global pandemic preparedness, making it easier for researchers worldwide to find and access the tools they need to develop new antiviral therapies.
The registry spans a range of collection types, including drug repurposing libraries, direct-acting antiviral libraries, privileged structure-based libraries and novel compound screening libraries.
We are pleased to see VirusBank Platform included in this global resource, alongside contributions from leading academic institutions, industry partners and commercial vendors. The recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to making high-quality antiviral compounds accessible and supporting the kind of collaborative, cross-sector research that is essential to staying ahead of emerging infectious threats.
